About
This study assessed neonatal care providers' preparedness during the COVID-19 pandemic, based on a survey conducted in 69 low- and middle-income countries. Results showed challenges such as staff and equipment shortages, increased infant mortality, and deviations from World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines. The survey found differences in practices such as cord clamping and breastfeeding recommendations for infants born to COVID-positive mothers. Limited family access and shared decision-making were also observed. The findings indicate a need for international collaboration to address these issues.Tags
