This report examined how trauma care preparedness and response was sustained in a Level-1 adult and pediatric trauma center in Washington State during the initial phase of the COVID-19 pandemic. Lessons learned in trying to balance COVID-19 response with trauma care led to recommendations for continuous trauma care for injured patients during the pandemic.
