About

This article describes a disaster simulation exercise for pediatric mass casualty events. It was conducted in emergency departments with limited space and equipment, lasting under two hours. Participants included doctors, a physician's assistant, and nurses who rotated through triage, patient care, and leadership roles. The study found that doctors and the physician's assistant improved their knowledge by 7%, while all participants felt more prepared for emergencies. The exercise proved to be an effective way to train medical staff in handling mass casualty situations efficiently within the constraints of an emergency department setting.
