About
This 3-page research letter describes a study that surveyed family physicians in Canada to evaluate their preparedness for pediatric emergencies in outpatient offices. The survey was sent to 1,869 physicians (11% return rate) from various provinces and territories, focusing on clinic characteristics, access to emergency resources, incidence of pediatric emergencies, and adherence to guidelines. Results indicate low preparedness levels despite existing guidelines. The study had limitations like low response rates and missing data from some regions.
