About
This narrative review highlights challenges faced in accessing and maintaining maternal and child health (MCH) services during public health emergencies such as pandemics and disasters. Research focused on the impact of emergencies on MCH services, revealing common issues like low utilization and limited access. Lack of safety equipment and fear of infection are factors that hinder service delivery. While existing evidence underscores the significant impact of emergencies on MCH, further in-depth studies are necessary, particularly regarding the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
