This study explored the experiences of school nutrition employees during the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on their responses based on the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction. The study involved 34 interviews with employees from different roles and regions. Findings revealed themes such as adapting to the crisis, prioritizing safety, gaining recognition for their work, and improving communication and accountability. The programs showed resilience and dedication to children, suggesting the importance of using disaster frameworks to enhance preparedness and address food insecurity in the future.
