About
This study reviewed challenges faced by disaster responders and mothers in middle/high-income countries (MICs/HICs) regarding infant feeding during disasters, particularly in disaster and conflict situations, where decades of global evidence confirm breastfeeding's protective effect. Challenges include violations of breastfeeding marketing codes, lack of responder familiarity with infant feeding in emergencies (IFE) protocols, and barriers for mothers like privacy issues and limited resources. Highlights include the need for better preparedness and response capacity in these countries to support infant feeding during emergencies.
