About

This article describes a study on training hospital staff for emergency evacuations in neonatal and pediatric intensive care units. It involved a six-week training program with hands-on practice and an evacuation toolkit. A surprise drill was conducted to test the effectiveness of the training. Results showed that trained staff felt more prepared than those who were not trained, with a significant increase in perceived readiness. The study suggests that disaster preparedness training can help reduce risks when caring for children during emergencies, making it important for hospitals to implement such programs.
