About
This study looked at the impact of a disaster drill in a pediatric emergency department (PED) on patients' waiting times. The case group was composed of real patients who came to the PED during the drill; the control group were visiting patients from the previous day. Conclusions found that a mass casualty incident (MCI) drill in the PED, with minimal staff reinforcement, was not detrimental to waiting times.
