Effects of Displacement on Puerto Rican K-12 Students in Florida After Hurricane Maria

This study examines the effects that displacement had on the education of Puerto Rican children and youth who arrived in Florida after Hurricane Maria in 2017, as well as the impacts to their families. Particular emphasis is placed on policies and programs enacted by the School District of Osceola County, Florida; social services provided by community organizations in Osceola County; and the perspectives and experiences of key stakeholders.
