Physician burnout is widespread, affecting individuals and the healthcare system significantly. The aftermath of COVID-19 has underscored the role of organizational culture in exacerbating burnout. Extensive research points to actionable strategies for organizations to cultivate supportive leadership invested in physician well-being. Proactive efforts by physicians in areas like sleep, nutrition, exercise, stress management, and social support can mitigate burnout. A positive mindset, incorporating self-compassion and positive psychology, is crucial in healthcare. Physician coaching can drive behavioral improvements, but lasting culture change requires dedicated leadership.
