This 48-page report summarizes a study of the mental health challenges of children in Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR)- funded facilities. Facilities described the challenges inherent in addressing the mental health needs of children who had experienced significant trauma before coming into Health and Human Services (HHS) care, and reported that challenges employing mental health clinicians resulted in high caseloads and limited their effectiveness in addressing children's needs. The report makes six recommendations for ORR to make at its facilities.
