In this module we will discuss the major differences in pediatric trauma patients compared to adults as well as an introductory overview of the evaluation and management of common pediatric traumatic injuries.

Upon completion of this module, the learner will be able to:

* Describe the burden that pediatric trauma plays in overall pediatric morbidity and mortality
* Discuss the differences between pediatric and adult trauma physiology
* Identify common traumatic pediatric injuries and describe basic management principles
