    This module will cover recognition and management of pediatric sepsis.

    Upon completion of this module, learners will be able to:

    *Differentiate between a child with fever and a child with evidence of sepsis.
    * Describe considerations for fluid management in children with septic shock, including options for access, fluid types, fluid volume goals, and strategies for rapid fluid administration.
    * Recognize the importance of early broad-spectrum antibiotic administration in pediatric sepsis.
    * Compare vasoactive medications for fluid-refractory septic shock.
    * Understand indications and cautions for intubating a septic child.
    * Describe the roles of steroids and blood products in pediatric sepsis.
