Kids have different needs and vulnerabilities compared to adults, which makes it hard to create treatments for them. This becomes even more challenging during a pandemic. In the past ten years, there have been improvements in making medicines for children, especially because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It's crucial to have a system in place to develop medicines specifically for children. This article is part of a series in Pediatrics Clinics of North America 2024 June; 71(3).
