This seminar is a multi-disciplinary dialogue that discusses the last 10 years of extreme events that have tested disaster readiness, including the response and recovery to Hurricane Katrina, Superstorm Sandy, and the Ebola outbreak. It cites climate change and the global refugee crisis as increasingly recognized significant and persistent threats to children and other vulnerable populations. Speakers explore what has been learned from these crises and what it means for the future of disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. Moderated by Jeff Schlegelmilch. Panelists included Elisaveta Petkova, Adam Sobel, and Jeb Weisman.
