This report summarizes current recommendations for preventing measles, rubella, congenital rubella syndrome, and mumps. It includes revisions by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) from 2012 and previous recommendations from 1998 to 2011. ACIP advises 2 doses of MMR vaccine for children and adults at high risk, and 1 dose for other adults.
