    This commentary reflects on the response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, academic medical centers like Emory University School of Medicine swiftly adapted clinical care and education. They introduced virtual classrooms and elective rotations, including "The Climate Crisis and Clinical Practice." This elective attracted over 230 students from 30 institutions, reflecting a growing interest in climate change education in medical schools. The course emphasized themes like health equity, disasters, and climate communication. Students engaged in reflections and writing assignments, expressing their passion for climate medicine. The initiative aimed to bridge the gap between addressing the urgent climate crisis and practicing medicine.
