The American Board of Pediatrics has partnered with pediatric subject matter experts to provide this maintenance of certification (MOC) part 2 article-based self-assessment, titled “Policy on Global Climate Change and Children’s Health”. This course describes the increased risks of heat stress, poor air quality, and food insecurity due to rising temperatures. Children are especially vulnerable to these changes. It also covers the impact of extreme weather events on waterborne diseases and links between air pollution and adverse pregnancy outcomes like preterm birth.
