About

The Washington State Department of Health created the Washington State Perinatal and Neonatal Level of Care Guidelines in 1988. They were revised several times from 1992 to 2018. On June 24, 2024, the Levels of Care committee voted to align the state guidelines with national standards by referencing documents from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
