About
This checklist describes what to bring to a Medical Needs Shelter (MNS) during an evacuation. An MNS is for people with minor medical needs who can't stay in general shelters. It provides basic care and allows caregivers and service animals. Items to bring include ID, medications, medical equipment like wheelchairs or oxygen tanks, personal items like clothes and toiletries, special diet foods, and contact information for emergencies. The "Register Ready" program helps identify those needing extra help in emergencies.
