This toolkit helps hospitals plan for emergencies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). It describes how newborns in the NICU need special care and rely on hospital staff and technology. Disasters can affect a NICU's ability to care for these babies. The toolkit gives guidance to NICU leaders on creating disaster response plans that meet standards and use community best practices.
