This 2-page document explains how to safely transport children in ambulances. It describes using child safety seats for kids under 80 pounds, 57 inches tall, or younger than 8 years old. Different types of restraints like convertible car seats and stretcher harnesses are recommended based on the child's size and condition. For infants who can't sit upright, a car bed is suggested. It also covers transporting well children in non-ambulance vehicles when possible and guidelines for using a child's safety seat after a minor crash. Special instructions are given for mother and newborn transport as well.
