About

This document describes a project to improve disaster response for children’s hospitals. The group looked at different technology platforms to map hospital assets. They chose Biospatial software because it is cost-effective and easy to maintain. Biospatial helps visualize important resources like hospitals and schools on a map, which can be useful during emergencies. The State of Michigan already uses this tool successfully, and Ohio plans to adopt it too. This will help states share information quickly in case of disasters involving children’s healthcare needs across FEMA Region 5.
